Job Description

OFFICER, INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES AND U.S. EQUITY, Solve-Global Challenges Team, to deliver events and workshops related to the implementation of open innovation challenges for MIT Solve and select clients, with a primary focus on the Indigenous Communities Fellowship and programs fostering equity in the U.S.; and engage in other internal or client projects as needed.  May have an opportunity to mentor and manage interns.  Responsibilities include coordinating the challenge design process (including research, stakeholder input, workshops, facilitator recruitment, and training) and drafting challenge description, guidelines, and FAQs; drafting challenge promotion plans for implementation by the marketing team; reviewing challenge submissions and ensuring that quality and diversity standards are met; leading finalist preparation and support; supporting the development of judging panels; supporting the planning, programming, and delivery of challenge-related sessions; overseeing funding disbursement process for selected innovators; assisting with support programming for selected innovators; data management; and contributing to the strategic vision of Solve to build the premier marketplace for social impact innovation through open innovation and transformational partnerships.
