What You'll Do

You are a key member of the Office Experience (OE) team responsible for the staff & visitor experience of the office. You will team onsite at our Detroit location with other members of the OE Team to drive day-to-day operations of the office. Under direction of the Office Experience & Events (OEE) Manager, you will focus on the implementation of office hospitality and events ensuring the Detroit culture is upheld and our service standards are maintained.

 

What You'll Do:

Own and manage the office affiliation calendarImplementing concierge service – including catering and meeting supportActing as a resource during office repairs, liaising with office experience team, building & vendors as necessaryAct as on-site facilitator for event attendees during office happy hours and client meetingsPartner with Office Experience & Events Manager on data analysis and management projects monthlyCoordinate event communication – prepare guest lists and invitations, send confirmations, and track RSVPsSchedule and drive action items from affiliation committee meetingsPlan weekly and monthly affiliation events according to the strategy set by the OEE ManagerPlan & implement marquee affiliation events including retreat, holiday party and alumni eventsDevelop and monitor budget estimates and options to ensure events remain within budget guidelines and office ethosTake ownership of the DET Office CalendarCoordination of event feedback, synthesize feedback for review by leadershipParticipate in Event Planner NetworkOn-site management of requested meetings & events from other offices and teamsResponsible for overall cleanliness of conference rooms and ensuring they have adequate suppliesCoordinating with meeting organizers & office experience team to ensure all meeting needs are met, including catering, furniture arrangement, IT and other room set-upDevelop and circulate marketing and communications, i.e. Insiders Guide, event communications, etc.Manage event and office contracting in conjunction with OEE Manager and BMLPartner with OEE Manager on data analysis and management projects monthlyProviding backup to the other members of the OE team as necessary, especially on days with multiple internal events or when other team members are out of officeAdditional office projects and tasks as assigned

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in event planning or hospitality, preferredStrong hospitality mindset, with a service orientation and sensitivity in responding to customer needsDemonstrated strong interpersonal, communication and facilitation skillsHigh degree of flexibility in a fast-paced environmentHigh degree of integrity, a positive attitude, and the ability to maintain absolute confidentialityComputer proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and ability to quickly learn new applications and technology toolsInfrequent travel may be requiredOccasional evening and weekend work will be required

Who You'll Work With

Our business management and operations team members work to ensure that BCG is running smoothly, efficiently, and productively. We are made up of executive and administrative (or case team) assistants, visual service artists, receptionists, facilities staff, and the team leaders and office coordinators who manage these operations and business management jobs.



Additional info

This role currently requires 5 days a week in office presence. This in-office plan allows for critically important learning, collaboration and networking with our colleagues.
