Office Coordinator - Utilization Mgmt
Responsible for management and oversight of office functions for the department to include oversight of therapist schedules/appointments, management of department medical records, assists with maintenance of billing, coding, and documentation integrity, and maintains knowledge of insurance regulations and referral agencies. Compiles statistical data and assists leadership with reports and compliance audits. Orders office supplies. Maintains schedule of employee/department events. Provides clerical support as needed to the department to include receptionist duties, answering telephones, filing, and obtaining accurate referral information. Maintains positive customer service, demonstrates professionalism and good communication skills, while performing duties as outlined in Position Summary. Coordinates staffing and scheduling for the department Prepares bi-weekly Kronos payroll report Validates discharge disposition/destination and updates as appropriate Acting Administrator for Watershed Provides daily census, Observation list and length of stay report for department Abstracts and compiles statistical data for Compliance and Quality reporting Compiles and analyzes data for Hand Hygiene reporting Compiles spreadsheets used in patient throughput and discharge planning Manages patient status changes by payor Applies/changes room and board charges as appropriate Compiles check requests for department bill pay and maintains spreadsheet for same Medical record scanning Department release of information and correspondence duties Acts as liaison for post-acute provider marketers Supply ordering and maintenance Performs other assignments as directed by department director Assists co-workers as needed with computer tasks High School Diploma; secondary education desired + Prefer 2 years’ experience in a clinical setting; Knowledge of office management desired ; Advanced computer skills essential
