Job Title: Office Automation Technician
Reporting line: Service Manager
Location/Franchise: Marconi Beam, Cape Town

 

JOB PURPOSE

Installations, repairing, servicing and maintaining of all Nashua products (including Ricoh, HP, Lexmark, Epson and Ricoh multifunction printers)

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications Required:

Grade 12 / N3 / NQF 4 Relevant Tertiary qualification will be beneficial CompTia Certified A+ or PDI+ essential and N+ Minimum 3 years office automation experience  Repair, installation & networking knowledge  Ability to set up printing and scanning  (to folder and email) Ability to interpret service manuals, parts manuals & an understanding of technical diagrams Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle essential

Duties & Responsibilities

Technical

Install, repair & service all Nashua’s equipment in the field Logistical & methodical approach to fault-finding (Strong troubleshooting skills) Carry out preventative maintenance in accordance with Company standards Keep the Service Supervisor informed of problems relating to work commitments, technical and/or customer-related to maintain awareness of customer needs Assist other engineers in the field, as and when required Maintain all boot-stock activities

Administration

Ensure the Service Coordinator is provided with accurate information relating to service calls and the basic running of the department Complete all necessary paperwork, ensuring it is timeously presented in a professional manner Skills and Attributes Good written & verbal communication to interpret customer challenges/issues Problem-solving skills to diagnose equipment issues Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills Attention to detail to identify issues and complete reports/job logs Planning and organizing skills Good organizational skills related to tools and paperwork whilst in the field Relevant computer & technical skills to efficiently manage all service call-outs, providing high-quality service and repairs for relevant jobs Excellent time management skills Ability to work well under pressure

Working Conditions

Working hours are 08h00 to 16h30, Monday to Friday Travelling to & from site to client premises per schedule requirements,  Install new equipment, respond to service requests, troubleshoot equipment issues and/or provide technical training on company equipment Physically fit and able to work with heavy equipment.
