The Occupational Therapist provides services for the purpose of promoting health and wellness and to those who have or are at risk for developing an illness, injury, disease, disorder, condition, impairment, disability, activity limitation, or participation restriction. The Occupational Therapist will select methods or strategies to direct the process of interventions, evaluate factors affecting activities of daily living and implements interventions and procedures to promote or enhance safety and performance in activities of daily living. The Occupational Therapist performs in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic Health Systems’ mission, policies and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy.
Preferred/Optional: Master’s or Doctorate degree in occupational therapy.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Supervised clinical internship(s) working with adult and/or pediatric populations to prepare for professional registration
Preferred/Optional: None
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.Occupational Therapist license awarded by the State of Wisconsin.Preferred/Optional:
Current certification through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.Work Schedule and Shift Details
Weekend and Holiday rotation
This position will be working in the hospital, interested candidates would have experience or an interest in working with pediatric patients to support the Marshfield Children's Hospital and Pediatric Specialty departments.
