Occupational Therapist

Occupational Therapist, with appropriate education, training, and licensure evaluates patients while considering influencing psycho-social factors, plans treatment programs and performs therapy procedures to restore function, prevent disability, and maximize the potential and quality of life following disease, injury, or surgery.  Appropriately modifies treatment plans and procedures specific to pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients, uses appropriate communication techniques for specific age groups and applies knowledge of growth and development and the aging process to achieve optimal results.

Must be a graduate of an accredited college or university with a Bachelors of Science degree  in Occupational Therapy in a program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.  Must be licensed by the state of North Carolina.  One or more years experience in an acute care facility.  Must have experience with pediatric,  adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
