We are currently hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist to join one of our partner schools in Gurnee, supporting both a Primary School (EC-K) and an Elementary School this upcoming 2025-2026 school year. This is an incredible opportunity to work in a dual-language school environment with a diverse range of students and classroom settings.
Position Overview:Schedule:Primary School: Monday–Friday, 7:25 AM–3:00 PMElementary School: Monday–Friday, 7:15 AM–2:50 PMStudent Ages: 3–6 years (Primary School) and Elementary-aged students (Elementary School)Caseload: Mixed caseload, including life learning (functional classrooms), structured learning classrooms for students on the spectrum, classrooms for students needing more support, and general education classes.As an Occupational Therapist, you’ll support students by helping them develop the functional skills they need to thrive in the classroom and beyond. In this role, you will collaborate with educators in both dual-language and general education settings, tailoring interventions to meet the unique needs of each child.
Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement occupational therapy programs aligned with the needs of both schools.Assess and monitor students with disabilities, creating personalized interventions and transition plans.Collaborate with teachers and staff in dual-language, general education, and specialized classrooms to understand and support students’ needs.Conduct evaluations, create comprehensive occupational profiles, and provide data-driven recommendations.Deliver targeted interventions to enhance students’ participation and success in educational activities.Recommend and support the use of assistive technologies and adaptive tools to foster accessibility.Use Embrace to document and manage student information.Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.Other duties as assigned.Position Details:Work Setting: Two school buildings:Primary School (EC-K): Approximately 600 students, ages 3–6 years.Elementary School: Approximately 1,000 students in a dual-language environment where students learn both Spanish and English.Perks: Duty-free lunch and a collaborative, supportive environment.What You’ll Bring to the Role:Master’s Degree in Occupational TherapyActive Illinois Occupational Therapy LicensePrior school-based experience (preferred, but not required)Ability to collaborate effectively in a dual-language environmentPassion for empowering students to achieve their fullest potentialWhy Join AnthroMed Education?At AnthroMed, you’ll be part of a team that values your work, supports your growth, and celebrates your success.
