Occupational Health Supervisor
Overview The Occupational Health Supervisor oversees our occupational health services based in our Anchorage offices, coordinating clinical and administrative operations, ensuring high-quality care, and maintaining compliance with health regulations. Fairweather’s medical department consists of physician assistants, nurse practitioners, paramedics, EMT II/III and registered nurses. WORK LOCATION: Anchorage, Alaska with frequent travel SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm REPORTS TO: Fairweather Medical Services Manager ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · Management and Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the occupational health team, including hiring, training, and performance management to maintain high-quality care. · Clinical Oversight: Oversee the daily operations of occupational health clinics in collaboration with healthcare providers to maintain best practices and standards. · Administrative Duties: Manage the day-to-day operations, including scheduling, budgeting, payroll oversight, and resource allocation. · Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Implementing and monitoring safety protocols and procedures. · Client Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients by offering regular communications and addressing needs and concerns promptly and effectively. · Travel: Frequent travel to different locations as required to oversee operations and ensure consistent quality of services. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: · The ideal candidate will have strong managerial skills and experience. · Occupational Health Nurse certification · BS degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business administration or relevant field, · Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within a healthcare setting · Strong leadership and organizational skills · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills · Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with healthcare management software · Offer contingent upon the ability to pass pre-employment drug testing (federal panel), physical exam, background check, and motor vehicle report PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Generally sedentary requiring routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying items weighing less than forty pounds.
