The Occupational Health Program Nurse Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive occupational health programs, with a focus on education, compliance, and wellness initiatives. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure the health and safety of employees, promoting a culture of wellness, and ensuring compliance with relevant health regulations and standards. **Position** Occupational Health Program Manager **Location** USA, Louisville, KY **How You'll Create Possibilities** **Key Responsibilities:** Program Development and Management: + Design and implement occupational health programs that address the specific needs of the organization. + Development, collaboration, and oversight of wellness initiatives and point-care-solutions aimed at improving employee health and wellbeing. + Ensure programs align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Education and Training: + Develop educational materials and conduct training sessions on occupational health topics, including workplace safety, ergonomics, wellness, and disease prevention. + Provide guidance and support to employees and management on health-related issues. + Stay updated on the latest occupational health trends and integrate relevant information into training programs. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: + Ensure compliance with OSHA, CDC, and other relevant health and safety regulations. + Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance risks and implement corrective actions. + Maintain accurate records and documentation related to occupational health activities and compliance. Employee Health and Wellness: + Co-lead the Wellbeing Site Leaders, domestic and globally (40+ employees) in being the subject matter expert as well as building strong relationships to support strategy, development, and implementation of wellbeing programs and services with site-specific culture in mind + Employee facing support and connection to wellbeing resources + Responsible for the management and upkeep of external wellbeing website + Work collaboratively with leaders/business partners/key stakeholders to set priorities and goals around wellbeing initiatives, improvements, efficiencies, outcomes, streamline data/metrics and create cultural change around personal wellbeing + Identify and analyze emerging and current industry trends in the wellbeing space. Provide recommendations on wellbeing initiatives resources, and activities. Explore ideas and opportunities to personalize internal programs to increase employee participation + Provide strategic thought leadership and assist in the development of creating employee communications on wellbeing topics. + Special projects as assigned Collaboration and Communication: + Work closely with HR, safety, and other departments to integrate health and wellness initiatives into organizational practices. + Serve as a liaison between employees, management, and external health service providers. + Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to promote occupational health awareness. Leadership and Supervision: + Be a subject matter expert for occupational health professionals, providing guidance and support as needed. + Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the occupational health department. + Evaluate team performance and identify opportunities for professional development. **What You'll Bring to Our Team** **Qualifications:** + Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license. + Associate Degree in Nursing or related field. + Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred. + Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN) or similar credential is highly desirable. + Minimum of 5 years of experience in occupational health, public health, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role. + Strong knowledge of occupational health regulations and best practices. + Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. + Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. **Working Conditions:** + Primarily office-based with occasional travel to various company locations. + May require occasional evening work conduct training sessions or respond to health emergencies. **Our Culture** At GE Appliances, creativity meets passion and conversations lead to exceptional outcomes and experiences.
