You’ll get to see firsthand the great things our partners and customers do with Splunk.As an Architect within the Global Solutions team, you will join a world-class team that provides technical and thought leadership to the Professional Services organization globally. This role involves working closely with Splunk’s Observability portfolio of products, aligning closely with stakeholders, and acting as the SME and Trusted Advisor.Are you up for the challenge?Responsibilities:Partner with multi-functional teams, including Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Customer Success, Technical Enablement, Education, and Support to improve product offerings and service deliveryMaintain consistent engagement with all organizational levels, from executive leadership (C-suite) to technical staff (developers and Site Reliability Engineers), ensuring strategic alignment and operational executionBe comfortable working with customers to help them define their future architectural roadmap as a trusted advisor.Lead all aspects of the adoption, optimization and integration of Splunk’s Observability solutions into the customers’ business architecture.Be successful working with all levels of an organization from the C-suite down to individual developers and SRE’s.Collaborate across the entire Splunk organization to bring access to product and technical teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovationGood corporate citizen – two-way flow of relevant and timely information; work as a team for the most efficient use and deployment of resourcesEmbrace continuous learning, maintain up-to-date knowledge of Splunk products, functional knowledge, and industry standard methodologiesRequirements:Experience in technical consulting or sales engineeringExperience with Kubernetes & ContainerizationExperience with both the Unix and Windows operating systems; comfortable with the command line interfaceExperience developing documentation to include architecture diagrams, user guides, white papers or product manuals5+ years of current Application Performance Monitoring (APM) ImplementationProficiency and demonstrable understanding in at least 2 of the following programming languages: Java, .NET, PHP, Ruby, Python, Node. JS, Objective-C, Java-DalvikExperience with Splunk Observability PreferredExperience with AppDynamics PreferredProven experience working with container orchestration i.e. Kubernetes and DockerExperience with Cloud IaaS providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft AzureExperience with enterprise monitoring systems i.e. Nagios, Elastic and SplunkExperience with serverless functions i.e AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions, Azure FunctionsExperience with automation/orchestration tools, : Ansible, Puppet, Chef, TerraformStrong open systems application and infrastructure knowledgeExperienced and comfortable closely collaborating with technical teams to ultimately drive customer-focused outcomes!Strong track record of aligning stakeholders by influencing without authorityHighly collaborative teammate!Experience successfully leading global end-to-end process and technology transformation projectsFamiliarity with Agile work management and/or the ability to effectively communicate sophisticated processes within and across teamWillingness to travel (remote position)Splunk is an Equal Opportunity EmployerAt Splunk, we believe creating a culture of belonging isn’t just the right thing to do; it’s also the smart thing.
