NYC Manager of Production

The Manager of Production will oversee back of house and production operations (e.g., maximizing line efficiencies, controlling variances in daily production of product) and help with the providing a great guest experience via the Doughnut Theater and guest journey. They work to exceed customer expectations, foster a culture of teamwork, develop staff members’ abilities and competencies, meet and exceed the financial objectives established for their assigned location. The Manager of Production will be responsible for the full employee life cycle for production Krispy Kremers.

The following positions will report directly to the Manager of Retail: Doughnut Makers, Inventory Specialists, Sanitation Specialists, Key Holders and Supervisors.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Guest Service

Serve as a role model for customer-first behaviors according to company standardsBuild a team of customer-focused employees through coaching and measurementResponsible for Doughnut Makers in production focusing on creating a great guest experienceHandle customer situations professionallyHandle any customer concernsRespond to customer inquiries on a timely basisEnsure all products meet Krispy Kreme quality standardsConduct store toursAnswer telephone in a timely manner and utilize Krispy Kreme greeting procedures

Production

Understand and implement procedures to maximize efficiencies and control variances in daily production of product and overall store performanceUnderstand and implement store quality control proceduresCoordinate production schedules to meet customer demands and minimize labor hoursInspect, troubleshoot and assess any production or equipment problems

Safety and Sanitation

Demonstrate safety consciousness and promote store safety, e.g. shoes, floor cones, MVR’s, etc.Ensure both the guest experience areas as well as employee areas are cleaned to the highest standardsMaintain a high level of store sanitation and cleanliness, e.g. cleaning schedules, training, etc.

Inventory Management

Ensure that the retail floor is fully stocked with merchandise according to inventory levelsMaintain appropriate inventory control standards, including conducting physical counts, ensuring damages are packaged and returned appropriatelyEnsure stock room areas are organized and kept to the highest of standardsResponsible for managing Inventory Specialists and ensuring they are keeping track of inventory counts, damages and other processes

Equipment

Oversee proper upkeep of store facility and equipment

Personnel

Assist management in recruiting, hiring, training, and dispute resolutionSupervise all shift personnelBuild a team of customer-focused employees and foster teamworkDemonstrate leadership in employee development, including that of Key StaffAssist in communicating to store employees and enforcing all store policies, standards, and practices

Accounting

Assist Management in completing and managing income and expense budgets, including accounts payable/receivable, profit and loss, etc.Accounting tasks such as counting and depositing revenues.Assist Management in completing required corporate reporting documentation, both financial and operationalManage company resources responsibly including inventory controlManage financial dutiesProtect company assets

Leadership

Communicate and model company standards and policiesImplement efficiently and effectively directives from store, corporate, and divisional managementDevelop and maintain store organization to promote efficient operationsInterface with corporate office personnel

Essential skills and Experience:

High school or GED required3-5 years management experience in a retail or QSR environmentMust be at least 18 years of ageExperience with sales, management, production, and customer serviceStrong communication, organizational, and leadership skillsPleasant disposition, sociable, accommodating nature, and enthusiasmSelf-motivation, creativity, and adaptabilityBasic computer, telephone, and fax knowledgeMust perform all related competencies outlined in the Krispy Kreme Management Training Workbook

Nonessential skills and Experience:

Post secondary education strongly preferred


NYC Manager of Production starting salary is $80,000 per year.
