Job OverviewThe Nutrition Officer will be the focal point for the IRC nutrition program, providing technical oversight to the IRC nutrition teams, and collaborating closely with other stakeholders in the nutrition and health sectors. S/He will be responsible for the day-to-day functionality of the nutrition programs to ensure key prevention and curative interventions are implemented as planned and in accordance with Ministry of Health (MoH) guidelines. Major Responsibilities:• Implement emergency nutrition responses, including OTC and ITC, adhering to protocols.• Promote Maternal, Infant, and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN) and Baby-Friendly Community Initiatives (BFCI).• Build capacity through mentorship and refresher training for nutrition staff, Health workers and VHTs.• Deliver health and nutrition education at community and facility levels.• Monitor nutrition supply requisition, storage, and consumption at field level.• Participate in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nutrition mass screening exercises for under-fives• Provide nutrition counseling, including for chronic medical conditions.• Compile and submit weekly, biweekly, monthly and quarterly reports for donors and IRC programs.• Supervision of direct reports, including conducting Performance Management Evaluation (PME).
