Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Nursing House Supervisor/Emergeny Room Registered Nurse to join our team!
Provide supervisory coverage for all departments at Mountain View Hospital. Act as a resource and support for all staff members in the hospital setting, providing nursing expertise, clinical skills, leadership, and management skills to enhance teamwork, staff unity, and patient satisfaction. Provide coverage for the emergency room to triage and stabilize patients, carry out physician orders, determine disposition, and provide nursing care to emergency room patients. Job Duties
1.Triage incoming patients based on level of injury or illness
2. Assist physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills.
3. Consults other departments as appropriate to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to the patient’s needs.
4. Identifies and addresses psychosocial needs of patients and family; communicate with Social Service and other Ancillary Departments as needed, regarding both in-hospital and post-discharge needs.
5. Verify Emergency Medical and Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA) compliance with referrals and transfers
6. Assist unit managers to coordinate the clinical patient population.
7. Ensure quality patient care in the inpatient medical units and Emergency Department.
8. Assist various inpatient units with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
9. Assist various inpatient units during times of high census and high acuity.
10. Communicate with all staff nurses, CNAs, Charge nurses, Clinical Team Leads, and Managers effectively general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision to include the duties of the Registered Nurse.
