Are you ready to take the first step towards a career in healthcare? We are actively seeking qualified and compassionate individuals for our Nurse Assistant Trainee program! St. Catherine Hospital’s Nurse Assistant Trainee Program is 5 weeks long – split into paid classroom and paid on-the-floor time that is hosted and taught by our Education Department.
POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
To assist learners in gaining the knowledge, skills and attitude that will enable them to safely and effectively care for patients, the Nurse Assistant Trainee will be enrolled in an on-site Patient Care Technician (PCT) Training Program. This will prepare the beginning level nurse assistant to function as a member of the health care team under the supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse.
St Catherine Hospital will pay all coursework fees, as long as you work 1 year after course completion. Leaving prior to the completion of the one-year commitment will result in payment being due for the cost of the NAT Course, which is $585.00.
Full-time and part-time positions available upon completion of the 5-week program. No specific shift is guaranteed, participants must be able to work Days, Evenings, and Nights. All course graduates will be expected to work a minimum of a 0.6 FTE or 56 hours in a 2-week period.
Program to begin Monday, 1/20/2025. Course will be completed Monday-Friday 8am-4pm on day shift, 40 hours per week.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
· High school graduation or equivalency.
· Must be at least 18 years of age
