Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician

SUMMARY:

Provides quality patient care under the supervision and direction of licensed nursing personnel. Provides direct or indirect nursing care to patients in pediatrics.

Obtains and documents vital signs and reports abnormal results to the patient’s nurse. Communicates learning needs to charge nurse or nurse manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Nursing Assistant:

High school diploma or GED required Previous experience (preferred)

Patient Care Technician (PCT):

High School Diploma or GED required Completion of approved Nursing Assistant training course required

*RN students may be eligible to be considered for Student Nurse Technician opportunities. Students must be able to provide a copy of their college transcript showing successful completion of class requirements.
