Position Summary: 

The Nurse Supervisor Inpatient - Labor & Delivery will work in collaboration with nursing leadership to develop and implement patient care policies to ensure they are based on evidence and/or best practice nursing standards and comply with regulatory requirements. As new nursing knowledge and innovations in practice advance, works to implement and monitor the application into practice. Ensures standardized implementation across their area of responsibility by working closely with the nurses. Coordinates the activities of the nursing staff, including appropriate staffing levels to ensure quality and safe patient centered care.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required

Current Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) within two years of hireAmerican Heart Association BLSTwo (2) years’ ambulatory or acute care nursing experience

Preferred

Certification in Ambulatory NursingPrior supervisory experience of clinical nursing staff

Physical Requirements

Lifting, Pushing, and Pulling: Support 50 pounds of weight (patient, assist with bedside needs, etc.) Lift 50 pounds (pick up a child, transfer a patient, etc.) Carry equipment/supplies.
