Well established Primary Care Practice in Glen Burnie, MD seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. We provide a competitive salary and excellent benefits (include, health, dental, 401k, educational etc). Candidates must be board certified and clinical experience in primary care is essential. We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant(PA) to join our primary care team of 2 providers.
ResponsibilitiesExamine patients and their medical records, diagnose health conditions and illnesses and order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc)Propose treatments and prescribe medications for chronic and acute diseasesMaintain accurate records and schedulesEducate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics and preventionOversee patients’ overall health, by promoting good health practices and help them lead healthy livesAdvance professional knowledge and conduct researchSkillsProven experience as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a clinic, hospital, ER or other settingExpertise in primary care, acute care and chronic care practicesKnowledge of health and patient care regulationsStrong ethicsTeam spirit with a positive attitude, working closely with our staff and other healthcare professionalsPatience and cool-headedness, problem-solving skills and communication abilityWillingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experienceValid nurse practitioner licenseMaster’s degree; PhD is a plusIdeal candidate will be an early career NP or PA willing to work part-time with a transition to full-time.
