Nurse Practitioner - Medical Oncology

Columbia Memorial Hospital (CMH) and Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner for our CMH-OHSU Knight Cancer Collaborative in Astoria, Oregon. The Knight Cancer Collaborative is part of the Knight Cancer Institute, an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center. This position is a Clinical Associate within OHSU’s School of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology.
The Collaborative provides comprehensive, personalized cancer care to help people in Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington receive the treatment they need, while maintaining their quality of life. The Collaborative brings together OHSU Knight Cancer Institute's leadership and excellence in oncology care with the friendly, welcoming atmosphere of Columbia Memorial Hospital, a leader among Oregon’s rural hospitals. As part of the Collaborative, our comprehensive care includes radiation oncology, medical oncology, infusion, nutrition, and social services, pharmacy, and patient navigation.
Key responsibilities:
Clinical:
+ Provide outpatient services at the CMH-OHSU Knight Cancer Collaborative.
+ Clinic Schedule: 36 hours of patient care; four-ten (10) hour clinic days.
+ Inpatient Rounding on medical oncology patients. Rounding responsibilities are shared among the CMH-OHSU Medical Oncology providers; inpatient responsibilities should not exceed five (5) percent of patient care hours.
+ Call schedule: Up to ten (10) days of call per month.
+ Responsible for clinical coordination of Palliative Care and the Survivorship Program.
Administration:
+ Administrative and other duties may be assigned based on department needs and your areas of expertise and interest.
+ Four (4) hours of administrative time are allotted each week.
Required Qualifications
+ Master’s of Nursing
+ Ability to obtain Oregon RN license
+ AANP Board Certification
+ Demonstrated ability to work with a team of health care providers and collaborate to achieve patient care goals.
+ Experience working in an interdisciplinary setting.
+ Communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other clinicians in the work unit.
