Nurse Practitioner Acute Care (NP)

Shift: Monday thru Friday

Status:  1.0 FTE/40 hours per week

Unit:  Hem/Onc Clinical Services

Experience:  Hem/Onc/BMT experience and CPHON certification preferred or sought within 2 years

This APP will work with the multi-disciplinary neuro-oncology team to help care for pediatric patients with brain tumors. This position is a salaried position working Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate for this position work well in a team-based care model, is well organized and has excellent communication skills.

 

Provides healthcare to individuals or groups that requires knowledge and skill obtained from advanced formal education, certification and clinical experience. Practices within professional scope and promotes patient advocacy in accordance with the profession?s Code of Ethics and maintains a current Ohio Advanced License.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Master of Science degree or equivalent provision

 

LICENSURE: Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Ohio

 

CERTIFICATIONS: Maintains national certification as APRN in the appropriate population foci for the position, or PA

 

 MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 

Note frequency as Constantly (67-100%), Frequently (34-66%) and Occasionally (0-33%) for each requirement.  Also note any lifting requirements with pound limit.
