DC4 is a court-supervised program that provides a continuum of alcohol, drug, and other treatment and rehabilitation services. This position provides limited medical service to the participants of the program. This position requires Monday-Friday availability, part-time 20-25 hours per week, and on-call weekends. Typical Duties + Assists in developing medical policies for the program + Maintains medical files on program participants + Provides initial exam on new program participants + Refers participants to outside medical and dental providers as needed + Writes and fills prescriptions for program participants + Maintains an adequate supply of necessary medications + Prepares reports of medications and drug tests + Attends court and staff meetings as needed + Attends training and workshops as needed + Other assigned duty as directed Minimum Qualifications + MUST have a Nurse Practitioner (NP) License + A minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience with experience in correctional facilities preferred. + A valid driver's license is required Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities + Experience working with criminal offenders + Skill in coping with a variety of behaviors + Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written + Ability to to determine the needs of the clients being served + Ability to deal effectively with clients, their families and the public + Ability to establish effective professional relationships with clients + Ability to keep accurate records + Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships To Apply by Mail: DC4 Human Resources 1406 County Hospital Road Nashville, TN 37218 Davidson County Drug Court: 615-862-4220 Requests for ADA accommodation for the recruitment process should be directed to Human Resources at 615-862-4223.
