Atlantic Health System is Seeking an Outpatient Oncology Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner in Morristown, NJ

Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the outpatient Oncology Palliative Care Team at the Carol G Simon Cancer Center at Morristown Medical Center. This is a great opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner to advance their career while developing advanced palliative care skills with direct mentorship from the Medical Director of Oncology Palliative Care services for Atlantic Health System. 

Previous experience in hospice and palliative medicine, oncology, family medicine or geriatrics is a plus.   

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will perform detailed health histories and physical assessments, while providing comprehensive patient-centered care tailored to each patient’s values and goals. The NP will play a critical role in the integration of palliative care as part of high-quality cancer care across all phases of the illness, beginning at diagnosis and continuing through the end of life. Responsibilities include accurate and timely documentation, direct symptom management and coordination of home care support services. The ideal candidate will have strong symptom management skills and provide services primarily in the outpatient setting, coordinating closely with primary care providers and specialists.
