About the Department:
+ Pulmonology is the specialty area of medicine that focuses specifically on the pulmonary system. The pulmonary system, also sometimes called the respiratory system, consists of the lungs , trachea , bronchi , bronchioles , associated blood vessels, and all other components involved in and directly related to breathing and the process of respiration (gas exchange).
About The Career:
+ Under the direction of the Pulmonary Management team and established policies and procedures, the Pulmonary Nurse Navigator will be responsible for p atient coordination and documentation for the nodule
All About You :
+ Education: Colorado RN license
+ Training & Experience: BLS on hire; ACLS required within 9 months of Procedure monitoring experience preferred. IV conscious sedation preferred.
+ Job Knowledge: Anatomy and physiology, with a special emphasis on the pulmonary system and sleep disorders. Patient and staff education as it relates to pulmonology and medical imaging and sleep disorders.
+ Ability to effectively communicate, verbally, and non-verbally, in a clear, concise manner.
+ Administrative and philosophical compatibility with Montrose Regional Health.
+ Interpersonal skills and sound judgment necessary to communicate with a wide variety of persons including patients.
+ The ability to make appropriate decisions based on fact and knowledge is required. The ability to perform detailed work required. The ability to work harmoniously with employees required. Must demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality and show good judgment. The ability to make decisions under pressure and deadlines required.
