Nurse Manager RN

Hospital Details Ballard Rehab Hospital, located in San Bernardino, CA is a 60 bed rehab facility providing rehabilitative services to people recovering from disabilities caused by injuries or illnesses. We help our patients regain their physical or cognitive abilities so they can return home at their highest level of independence. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families. Responsibilities Responsible for the overall operations for the assigned nursing unit and ensures the delivery of efficient, high quality patient care. The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act. Works with employees and other mangers to develop systems and procedures necessary for daily operations, and provides training, information and support to solve problems and accomplish assigned objectives. Required Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or in current program with a completion date of 2 years required. Minimum one (1) year of nursing management experience required. Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience required. Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required. Additional Qualifications/Skills: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred. Critical care experience preferred ACLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor preferred. Experience in an acute care setting preferred. Experience and knowledge of operations, including staffing and scheduling, budget management, workflow planning and staff development. Ability to manage the practice of nursing within the mission of the hospital. Demonstrated ability to participate in recruitment and hire of qualified staff. Ability to project a professional image. Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements. Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills. Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant. Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions. Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
