Short Description
The purpose of this role is to give current nursing students (traditionally between junior and senior semesters) the opportunity for real world acute care hospital experience focusing on patient care, service and excellence and assisting the Registered Nurse with high quality outcomes.

The Labor and Delivery unit has 6 labor rooms, 1 treatment room, and 2 high risk maternal advanced care beds. There are also 2 designated operating rooms and 2 PACU bays. The unit specializes in labor and delivery of uncomplicated and high-risk pregnancies. The Obstetrical Triage unit consists of 7 triage bays as well as 2 non-stress test chairs. Any patient 16 weeks pregnant or greater to 6 weeks post-partum is seen in OB Triage. Patients are seen for various complaints as well as for iron/blood infusions, and Rhogam injections.
Education Requirements
Undergraduate Students pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (must be entering their Senior year) and completed one full clinical rotation in acute care settingMinimum cumulative GPA 3.0
License/Certification Requirements
American Heart Association BLS
