Position: C N A Department: CCNC & JCRH Reports to: Director of Nursing Created: 5/14/25 Job Summary: As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients in various healthcare settings. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to monitor patient health and report any changes in their condition. This position requires compassion, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Minimum Qualifications: + Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Mississippi. + High school diploma or equivalent preferred + Basic understanding of medical terminology and patient care practices. Preferred Qualifications: + Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in long-term care or rehabilitation. + CPR and First Aid certification. + Additional training in specialized areas such as dementia care or palliative care.Assist patients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing. + Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. + Help patients with mobility, including transferring them to and from beds, wheelchairs, and other equipment. + Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive environment. + Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols.
