GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Assigned to the technical performance of the medical department, as well as assist the on-staff physician in occupational health prevention and care functions.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify potential agents causing occupational hazards.Provide advice on IMSS services to staff.Assist the physician in health treatments and reassessments.Maintain care logs and biohazardous waste.Assist the physician in preparing admission exams and overseeing the program of periodic and special examinations for workers recommended by the physician for occupational risk prevention.Prepare employee medical records and documentation resulting from them, as well as the care required by each employee.Maintain documented records of disabilities resulting from general illness, occupational hazards, and maternity.Manage medications and medical supplies, as well as secure the emergency care kit in case of evacuation.Monitor the preventive internal audit program in the company cafeteria.Monitor the preventive maintenance program for equipment used for entry, periodic, and special employee screenings.Any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by the department supervisor.Participate in safety-related activities.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION:
