PURPOSE / DETAILS OF THE JOBThe purpose of the job is to manage Inbound Parts and packaging within the Supply Chain
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTSBEng/BSc Degree and or Btech in Industrial Engineering, Logistics or Supply Chain Management
+3 years Automotive, Logistics, Supply Chain Management
Experience within Supply Chain, including Engineering, Logistics and Supply Chain Management
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
MAJOR ACTIVITIES
Manage the Inbound/Packaging Engineering department.
Liaise with external Logistics service providers and ensure contract adherence.
Establish and manage logistics improvement projects in support of AMIE regional and GPLE targets.
Constant interdepartmental interaction with Production Control,
Purchasing and Project Office
Manage all part localizations and source changes from a logistics perspective
Implement global best practice supply logistics operations within the operational areas.
Support new vehicle introduction future logistics strategy.
RFQ strategy development and implementation or running of the entire RFQ run
Line support for any packaging concern that is encored during production,
continuous monitoring of the packaging to ensure that they do stop the line
Manage packaging and inbound supply chain contracts with third party service providers
Identify project opportunities that will result in cost reduction
Manage GLCR scope and ensure that SCM meets the targets
Constant communication with AILN concerning packaging improvements and packaging concerns
Packaging Improvement development and management for all models
Benchmark activities with other regions
Manage CFR and TFR reporting and optimization activities

1.Current Model Cost Reduction Strategy
Ensure NSA implements and adapts the world class cost reduction strategies for
existing model operation
Design relevant strategy that will results in competitive GLCR results.
2. Budget Management
GLCR Budget support and adherence
Look for reduction opportunities on the GLCR cost spending in line with task given
3. Parts Logistics
Calculate all part sourcing logistics impact and communicate to relevant sourcing committees as part of the long-term strategy
4. Supplier Management
Manage all inbound logistics and packaging service provider operations according to
SLA
Be integrally involved in the appointment of new service provider/shipping line
/Rental packaging
5. Packaging Engineering
Ensure packaging optimization on local and KD packaging for current models
Increase parts per cubic meter and decrease kilometers per part rate.
6. Quality
Ensure part and packaging quality is preserved through inbound logistics process.
"Developing countermeasures and proposals to recover from any unforeseen concerns.
7. Line Support
Manage concerns on the line and provide relevant countermeasure
