From creating the home standby generator market category, to our current evolution into an energy technology solutions company, we continue to push new boundaries. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** + Assembly Expertise: Assemble new products with precision and accuracy, following detailed Manufacturing Instructions (MIs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). + Station Ownership: Take ownership of assigned assembly stations, ensuring workstations are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary components. + Quality Control: Conduct quality checks at each stage of the assembly process to identify and resolve any defects or deviations from specifications. + MI Auditing: Critically review MIs for any errors, inconsistencies, or areas for improvement. Suggest updates and clarifications to documentation. + Problem Identification: Proactively identify and troubleshoot assembly issues or process bottlenecks. + Communication: Quickly communicate any production challenges, quality concerns, or MI discrepancies to the NPI Technician or Supervisor. + Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of assembly processes by suggesting efficiency enhancements and participating in process optimization initiatives. + Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with other NPI team members, engineers, and technicians to ensure successful product launches. + Flexibility: Adapt to changing priorities and product requirements in a fast-paced environment. **Minimum Qualifications:** + High school diploma or equivalent (GED) + One year of complex assembly or related experience **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience: Proven experience in assembly or manufacturing, preferably in a high-tech or electronics environment. + Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions. Familiarity with hand tools and basic measurement equipment. + Quality Focus: Strong commitment to quality and a keen eye for detail. + Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate issues and solutions. + Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve assembly problems effectively. + Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. + Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing product requirements and priorities. **Physical Demands** : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
