What You'll Do
We are looking for a senior, people-focused professional to lead our Nordic Career Services function. This is a standalone, hands-on, high-impact role where you will support BCG employees during career transitions, working closely with HR, Career Development team and Nordic-leadership to ensure individuals receive tailored and thoughtful guidance. You will own the process end to end — from identifying cases to coaching individuals and facilitating connections with external opportunities. The function is well established, but there is room to further shape processes and approaches across the Nordic region.
Manage and further develop the Career Services function in the Nordics, ensuring consistency, scalability, and impact across the region Own the end-to-end process for individuals in career transition, working in close collaboration with HR, Career Development team, and the employees themselves Provide individual career support, helping people reflect on their next steps and navigate the external job market Act as an advisor to senior leadership, supporting talent planning and transition processes Build and maintain a strong network of executive search firms, clients, and alumni to support career placement opportunities across the Nordics Represent the Nordics in regional-wide Career Services forums, contributing to best practice sharing and regional alignment Communicate professionally and effectively with external stakeholders, including potential employers interested in BCG talent Navigate differing local legal requirements across Nordic countries during off boarding and transition processes Ensure the highest levels of discretion, professionalism, and integrity in all matters related to the roleWhat You'll Bring
Master’s degree in a relevant field Over five years of experience in recruitment, talent management, or career coaching — preferably within a complex, fast-paced organization Understanding of the Nordic labor market Ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to tailor your approach to individuals at various career stages High integrity, discretion, and professionalism — essential when dealing with confidential information Structured, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset; capable of managing multiple priorities independently Resilience and empathy, especially in supporting individuals in career transition Strong external orientation, including the ability to promote BCG talent to executive search firms, clients, and other potential employers Collaborative mindset and the ability to work across functions, geographies, and teams Fluency in English; additional Nordic language(s) are an assetWho You'll Work With
You will be part of the Nordic Career Development (CD) team and collaborate closely with Human Resources and the MDP (Managing Directors & Partners) group across BCG’s Nordic offices. The role is independent and does not have direct reports but is highly connected — requiring frequent interaction with stakeholders at all levels. You will also engage with the broader Career Services community across EMESA region and work externally with headhunters, alumni, and clients to support transitioning employees. Engaging with alumni focuses on building and sustaining long-term relationships with former BCG colleagues.
