Essential Functions
Operate stress systemsAdministration of moderate sedation for TEE (Transesophageal Echo) procedurePrepare and administer medications needed for stress testingTransport patients to and from testing area as neededTurnover and clean stress/TEE rooms between proceduresUse principles of AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, and Thank) to communicate/educate patients and their families prior to, during, and after their procedureComplete checkoffs prior to procedures to verify: H&P, lab results, consents, protocol adherence to chest pain accreditation.Direct ReportsNone
Qualifications
Minimum Experience RequiredTwo (2) years nursing experienceMinimum Experience PreferredTwo (2) years of cardiac med surg nursing preferredMinimum Education RequiredGraduate of an accredited school of nursingCurrent Alabama nursing licenseBLS certifiedACLS certifiedRequired Skills/Abilities
