Job Title: Assembly Technician (Night Shift)

Job Description

As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling auto parts that consistently meet our company’s standards and expectations. You will play a key role in meeting plant targets for safety, quality, and efficiency.

ResponsibilitiesWork in a manufacturing environment safely.Follow standardized work instructions and work sequences for each process.Collaborate with team members to meet customer orders and production goals.Complete all necessary documentation, records, and reports as requested.Understand and follow all company policies and procedures.Be proactive and reactive to abnormalities in the process.Use key performance indicators as a method of continuous improvement.Work with company management regarding concerns, issues, or other matters.Attend training as assigned.Essential SkillsGeneral labor experience.1 to 2 years of experience in plastic extrusion.1+ years of experience in plastics manufacturing.Experience in production, machine operating, and packing.Experience with plastic injection molding machines.Ability to communicate and work well with others in a team environment.Proficient written and verbal communication skills.Basic math ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).Additional Skills & QualificationsFocus on continually improving skills as outlined.Ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally.Ability to walk or stand for extensive periods of time.Experience in a standard automotive plant environment.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment includes an open office setting with moderate to loud noise levels. It is a standard automotive plant environment that requires the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, and hearing protection. Employees must adhere to personal attire standards. The role involves constant non-aggressive repetition and may require lifting up to 60 pounds. The night shift hours are 6pm – 7am from Monday to Thursday, with training potentially conducted during the day shift (7am – 6pm, Monday to Friday) for 30 to 90 days.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $13.00 - $15.50/hr.
