Apply today! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The NICU Director ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall function and staffing of the Neonatal ICU department, in addition to forecasting, planning, and budget monitoring. The Director fosters a culture of accountability and collaboration and supports the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures in support of facility objectives. **What you will do in this role:** + Cultivate a superior clinical identity by identifying and implementing evidence-based practices to advance patient safety and quality outcomes, ensuring adherence to standards of care. + Oversee financial management of the department. + Actively participate in the performance management process, including identifying areas for improvement and executing changes. + Ensure department compliance with all infection control policies. + Assist with the reporting, research, and follow-up of errors in accordance with procedures. + Provide accountability for recruitment and retention activities as evidenced by feedback on employee satisfaction surveys. + Complete staff competency assessment and performance management processes to ensure regulatory compliance. + Oversee patient care on the unit to assure patient safety and patient and physician satisfaction. + Serve as a staff resource for any issue related to patient care, including procedures, medication, administration and dysrhythmia interpretation + Keep up-to-date with reporting of all Division Children’s and Pediatric Safety Initiatives. + Interpret and integrate assessment data, individualizes and revises the plan of care with measurable goals. + Communicate assessment findings to other team members as needed to support maximum patient outcomes. + Coordinate patient care in a collaborative and interdisciplinary manner in order to meet patient’s needs and goals. + Assess and initiate interventions in relation to patient’s current status and/or changes in patient’s condition + Provide education to patient and family, as appropriate, based upon identified needs. + Monitor departmental operations and PLUS reports, and initiate corrective action as necessary. + Establish annual goals for department based on hospital strategic plan. + Comply with all policies/procedures in order to maintain a state of continual survey and regulatory readiness. **What qualifications you will need:** + Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred. + Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or compact state required. + BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire. + 2-3 years of RN experience in a NICU setting required. + 1 year of clinical leadership experience strongly preferred. Parkridge East Hospital is a 120+ bed facility in East Ridge. We provide a full range of medical and surgical services. These services include orthopedics and robotic surgery. We have a 24/7 Emergency Department. This ED is recognized by the Society of Chest Pain Centers as an Accredited Chest Pain Center. The facility also offers obstetrical care and complex gynecological procedures. We also hold a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Specialized providers in the NICU include neonatologists, neonatal nurses and respiratory therapists. These staff are on site at all times. Visit us for excellent general and OB care!
