JOB SUMMARY
The Supervisor for NIC Evaluates and recommend state of the art diagnostic equipment. Works with DME and in-house Biomedical staff to maintain equipment in excellent working condition. Works with IT and NIC data manager to ensure functional and accurate electronic medical data. Strives to improve productivity, cost savings or revenue generation through new technology or methods. Maintains knowledge of departmental and organizational issues. Plans, directs, controls and evaluates all activities of the department to assure high quality patient care, in accordance with current standards of non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostics. Interacts continually with NIC staff, cardiologists, referring physicians, nursing staff and other ancillary departments. Is expected to be dependable and responsible and to comply with all personnel policies set forth by Hendrick Health Organization.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
Associate's Degree in Allied Health
Preferred Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Work Experience
2 years
Required Licenses/Certifications
BLS certification
Adult Echo and Vascular Ultrasound registries through RDCS or RCS in adult echo, RVT or RVS in vascular ultrasound within 1 year
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Knowledgeable in physiologic diagnostics including EKG, Holter and telemetry monitoring, PVR
Ability to carry out obligations and duties of position
Perform all cardiovascular ultrasound procedures that are available in Non-Invasive Cardiology
Master use of all equipment including ultrasound systems, PVR, BP monitors, and computer systems
Deals effectively with hospital personnel
Demonstrated advocate of quality and cost effective care
Demonstrated interpersonal skills
Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills
Proven managerial skills
