Your role and responsibilities

Preferred location is Central EuropeThe work model for the role is: #LI-HybridThis role is contributing to the Division IS Manager in Energy IndustriesImagine yourself as the driving force behind the NewGen PA program within Energy Industries. As you step into this role, you’ll be the key liaison, ensuring that planning, scheduling, coordination, and delivery of the program goals are achieved within the agreed time, scope, cost, and quality. Your influence will extend across all levels of management, shaping the design and development of the NewGen PA solution towers to meet the organization’s needs.Your mission will be to realize business value through successful project delivery and implementation of NewGen PA. You’ll identify and remove roadblocks, ensuring smooth adoption of initiatives and resolving any conflicting priorities. Satisfaction of stakeholders across multiple towers and program phases will be your benchmark for success.As the central contact for all divisional and program stakeholders, you’ll manage program issues and ensure the development and management of the program schedule. You’ll support project governance, steering committees, operating committees, and reference teams, ensuring adherence to ABB’s internal directives and procedures.Leading with a hands-on and problem-solving approach, you’ll promote and guide process owners and subject matter experts within Energy Industries. Your systematic, fact-based approach will identify and evaluate opportunities for improvement, while your communication skills will ensure stakeholders are promptly informed and supportive.You’ll provide guidance for disseminating NewGen PA communications and change management, promoting behavioral change for tool landscape and process improvement globally. Training programs will be your domain, ensuring they are scheduled, conducted, and aligned with the organization’s needs.Collaboration will be at the heart of your role. You’ll liaise with Business Functions, IS, and Data to align internal improvement projects with the NewGen PA Program. Keeping up-to-date with program and business strategy changes, you’ll ensure leaders are informed and consulted.Managing the rollout sequence, you’ll propose local project managers, review and approve rollout plans, and support validation, data migration, and testing. Your active participation in project closure processes will ensure comprehensive completion.In terms of leadership, you’ll foster collaboration across divisions, business areas, and teams to maximize results. Maintaining strong relationships with Program and Resource Management, you’ll ensure alignment with NewGen PA program goals. Your area of responsibility will be well-organized, staffed, skilled, and directed.Engaging with Resource Management, you’ll oversee the identification of resources to build effective, competent, and high-performing divisional teams. Working closely with Functions, Business Lines, Hubs, and Local Divisions, you’ll identify process owners, subject matter experts, and other roles needed for the NewGen PA program.

Qualifications for the role

Your qualifications will include a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Systems/Management, Business Management, or similar, with at least 12 years of experience in Business Operations and/or Information Systems. Excellent communication skills will be essential for interacting with stakeholders and partners. Your leadership will guide multi-cultural virtual teams, and your analytical skills will drive decision-making.You’ll bring a broad view of your position, taking initiative to communicate, interact, and cooperate with others. Your ability to write reports, lead presentations, and organize effectively will be crucial. Highly motivated and entrepreneurial, you’ll have a hands-on personality with a “can do” attitude.Experience in developing landscape strategies, architectures, and implementation plans, along with driving collaboration between teams, will be key. Your strong business acumen and understanding of internal business processes, systems, and data will set you apart. You’ll interpret new information, technology, and methodology, making it understandable to the business.Your experience in translating business requirements into IS capabilities and solution needs, along with leading people who do not report directly, will be invaluable. Strong project planning and execution skills, along with the ability to resolve issues between team members, will ensure success. Fluency in spoken and written English is essential, and experience with enterprise and solution architecture modeling tools is a plus. Familiarity with strategic business applications like SAP, Salesforce, Risk Review, ServIS, Planisware, Full Cost Model, SoFA, and Configurator(s) will be advantageous.
