JOB SUMMARY: To effectively direct and supervise all activities of the bakery department production area and personnel. As the lead you will oversee the production, quality, presentation, and department standards of the bakery production area. Your goal will be to maintain an organized production schedule as well as effective inventory levels of all products produced. You will be responsible for managing production windows and adhering to all recipes and processes for all products. On the people side, you will create and maintain a motivating and issue-free environment for all personnel in the production areas as well as manage their day to day duties.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

Manage the day to day production Maintain expected product quality, freshness and availability Collaborate with other production leads as needed Oversee food safety compliance and regulatory standards on a consistent basis Implement and maintain expected cleanliness levels in all production areas Ensure all production equipment is torn down and cleaned on a regular basis Ensure all preventive maintenance is performed in all equipment within production areas Ensure personnel safety procedures are being followed Maintain fluid communication with group team leader Collaborate with group team leader to carry out schedules and effectiveness Collaborate with group team leader in maintaining correct inventory levels Ensure the proper training of new associates and overall development of their production team Ensure 5s standards in production area Collaborate with and ensure production of internal orders for other puestos as needed Comply with all local, state and federal health and civil code regulations. Ensure an excellent level of customer service from team members and contribute to our customer promise Perform any other work-related duties as assigned Comply with all state, county and local weights and measures laws and labeling requirements.

 

REQUIREMENTS AND CONDITIONS:

Minimum Requirements

3 years of experience in bakery goods production 1 year of experience in people management

Preferred Requirements

High school education, GED or equivalent. Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) Basic computer skills
