As a New Product Development Structural Engineer you'll be responsible for the mechanical detailed design (focus on structural discipline) and the requisition activities of all auxiliary systems required for Gas Turbines, Steam Turbine, Centrifugal Compressors, Reciprocating Compressors and Turbo-Expander machines and it auxiliary systems and equipment. Auxiliary systems include steel base frames, piping, structures and process equipment such as pumps, motors, heat exchangers, filters, separators, BoP skids. You'll assure balance between design flexibility needs and strict product standardization adoption leading supply chain goals accomplishment, cost-out strategies implementation, site installation/service support.

As New Product Development Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Performing structural design by hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis where required.Being a member of the team of the structural design of various components of auxiliary systems (baseplates, piping, supports, …).Completing the structural discipline with requisition activities, by procuring auxiliary equipment for specific projects (such as baseplates / structures, piping, valves, …).Defining plant layout of Gas Turbines, Steam Turbine and Electric Motor Compressors driven train auxiliary systems, including 3D modeling.Supporting Customers in deep technical review meeting demonstrating expertise and representing structural discipline.Assuring quality awareness through lessons learned implementation.Collaborating to create and update internal tools to leverage standardization and robust design.Issuing technical documentation for assigned jobs with high focus on quality, completeness, consistency and alignment with customer and internal standards.Designing of mechanical auxiliary systems and equipment, performing the necessary calculations for systems sizing and components selection.Assigning tasks associated to products design to engineering external companies and monitoring progress.Supporting the manufacturing team during assembly phase.Attending design reviews and internal meetings with other functions to validate design.Collaborating with procurement for proper design to cost and with suppliers for performing technical alignments.Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

To be successful in this role you will:

Hold a degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Aerospace Engineering with good experience in Engineering/Technology.Demonstrate basic knowledge of industrial manufacturing process and materials.Demonstrate consolidated expertise in application of engineering tools for structural design of mechanical components (e.g., Ansys, LS-Dyna, …).Preferential - Have capability to model physic behavior through specific simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, …).Be able to use design/modeling software such as parametric 3D CAD (Unigraphics NX or similar) and 2D (Autocad).Have a good knowledge of International Standards (e.g., ASME, AISC, API, …).Be a clear thinker: take decisions with speed and accuracy based on best available information.Show interpersonal skills and ability to interface effectively with different levels of the organization and external Customers.Have an entrepreneurial mindset that allows you to be self-directed, highly resilient, creative and solution oriented.Be fluent in English and hold an EU work permit.
