**Overview**
**Position Summary:** Under minimal supervision, performs a wide variety of Neurodiagnostic testing procedures that include EEG, Evoked Potentials, Video-EEG Monitoring of phase I (scalp recordings) and phase II (intracranial recordings) studies, EEG recordings that accompany WADA testing, and assist the physician during bedside language and motor mapping. Works with patients of varying ages and medical conditions in accordance with the Neurophsyiology scope of practice and standards defined by Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), and the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society. The Technologist provides patient care consistent with the plan for provision of care to the patient, the plan for corporate compliance, as well as the plan for performance improvement and patient education. Works independently, utilizing a variety of sophisticated instruments and demonstrates good judgment and decision making in the performance of clinical neurophysiologic procedures. The Neurodiagnostic tech II’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to: patient hook-ups, daily maintenance of electrodes; daily archiving of patient data; preparing data (edits files) for physician review; equipment maintenance; staff education and cross-training of EEG Technologist I and EEG Monitor Techs; acts as a resource for other technologists; secures supply inventory and acquisition; prepares patient data and participates in conferences as requested by medical director. Must demonstrate knowledge of basic principles of growth and development over the life span and demonstrate professional conduct in a manner consistent with the ABRET code of ethics.
**Qualifications:** Minimum of four (4) years experience in EEG, may include Eps, EMU, ECOG, IOM or graduate from an accredited Neurodiagnostic program with 2 years additional EEG experience. Pediatric EEG experience required. ABRET Certification in EEG/LTM and /or equivalent experience Documented Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Demonstrated organizational skills. Demonstrated minimum of four (4) years having worked in an equivalent setting such as Neurophysiology Laboratory.
**Registration or Certification required:** HS graduate. Graduate of a Neurodiagnostic program accredited by the committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation/ and or equivalent experience preferred. License, Registration or Certification Required: ABRET Registration in EEG/LTM preferred. Current BLS. Minimum of 2 years college preferred.
**Pay Scale Information**
USD $68,432.00 - $117,926.00

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
