Neurocritical Care Neurologist

Henry Ford Medical Group’s Department of Neurology is seeking a Neurocritical Care Fellowship trained, BE/BC Neurologist for a faculty position at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.

You will join our current group of Neurocritical Care Faculty (6) as an intensivist in a fast paced, tertiary care referral center with a 16-bed semi-closed Neurosciences ICU. Responsibilities include clinical weeks providing primary and consultative Neurocritical care services within our 16 bed Neurosciences ICU and other subspecialty ICUs managing the care of patients with complex neurologic and neurosurgical disease. Our program utilizes multimodality monitoring on a routine basis and participates in multicenter trials. Henry Ford Hospital is a Level 1 trauma center with a Comprehensive Stroke Center Designation.

The opportunity entails:

Faculty neurointensivist position supported by multidisciplinary care teams including neurosurgery, neurology, neuro-IR, trauma surgery, fellows (NCC and other subspecialties), residents, medical students, advanced practice providers, pharmacy, PT/OT, dedicated case management

Clinical service weeks split between duties as rounding intensivist within our Neurosciences ICU, in addition to clinical weeks as rounding faculty leading our Neurocritical Care Consult team. Service weeks include weekend rounding and overnight home call duties (in addition to shared triage call responsibilities overseeing neurosciences admission). No overnight in-house call.

Teaching opportunities: Neurocritical care fellowship program, rotating trainees including MICU/SICU fellows, residents - neurology, neurosurgery, emergency medicine, transitional year, as well as medical students Research opportunities: outcomes research, clinical trials and translational research

Tenure Track Academic Appointments available for those who qualify through Michigan State University College of Human Medicine & Wayne State University School of Medicine.
