Visit arcfield.com for more details. Responsibilities Arcfield is looking for a highly skilled Network Technician/Administrator proficient in network engineering, policies, and firewalls. We are looking for candidates who are creative, self-driven, curious, people-oriented, and comfortable defining a path through ambiguity towards high-level goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for security, and the ability to bring our Sponsor’s mission to life across various platforms. Duties Design and plan network communications systems. Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Conducts cost/benefit analysis and provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conduct testing of network design. Monitoring network hardware operations to ensure properly set configuration options. Plan implementation of enhancements and upgrades to the network. Advises network users of hardware requirements, configurations, and limitations. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network. Qualifications Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. BS 10-12, MS 8-10, PhD 5-7 Prior experience with network support, addressing availability issues, and overall level 2 support. Ability to design, install, maintain, and coordinate network systems. Proven expertise with hardware and software and peripheral equipment. Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing network performance, diagnosing performance problems, and tuning activities to ensure network performance meets requirements. Ability to maintain and update network security and update system security plans. Minimum of 8 years creating and updating network policies, procedures, and standards.
