Network Infrastructure Manager

What this job involves –  
 

Responsible for the operational technology networks that support critical infrastructure (such as but not limited to building management systems, lighting controls, nurse call and other facility related systems) across the organization's facilities. This role connects operational and information technologies, ensuring OT systems remain secure, reliable, and efficient. The position is responsible for system integrity, compliance requirements, and supporting operational goals.
 

What is your day to day?   

Network Infrastructure Management

Manage OT equipment lifecycle from deployment through decommissioningConfigure and troubleshoot network components including switches, firewalls, and virtual environmentsAdminister hypervisor environments for resource allocation and performanceImplement OT standards for network reliability and securityDesign infrastructure solutions that accommodate operational requirements

Security and Risk Management

Oversee security measures for OT networksManage firmware and software updates across OT systemsCoordinate vulnerability assessments and patch implementationRespond to OT-related incidents and vulnerabilitiesAlign with organizational security policies and risk frameworks

Asset Management and Documentation

Track OT network assets in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Document asset details according to regulatory and audit requirementsMaintain network configurations, system architectures, and recovery proceduresDevelop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Methods of Procedure (MOPs)Develop change control processes and documentation standards

Stakeholder Coordination

Liaise between operations, engineering, and IT departmentsConvert business requirements into technical specificationsMaintain working relationships with vendors, contractors, and internal teamsAssess system enhancement priorities based on business needsCoordinate cross-functional activities for effective issue resolution

Project and Budget Management

Oversee OT-related projectsManage allocated budgets, resources, and timelinesCoordinate vendor activities and contractsDevelop technical requirements for system changesAlign project outcomes with business objectives

Support and Training

Provide technical expertise for OT network issuesCoordinate training for end-users and support staffProvide on-call support as requiredMaintain communication with stakeholders on OT activitiesHandle and escalate OT system issues

Desired experience and technical skills   
 

Required  

5+ years in support and integration of networks that include building management systems, lighting controls, nurse call and other facility related systems. 8+years of hands on support is not degreed.Experience managing industrial control networks and OT infrastructureExperience with third-party vendors and system integratorsKnowledge of industrial control systems, including BMS, PLC, and SCADA systems, with understanding of their architectures, functionalities, and integration challengesProficient understanding of OT network protocols and standards used in industrial and building automation, such as BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, and industrial Ethernet, including their implementation, security implications, and interoperability in diverse control environmentsExperience with firewall configuration, Windows-based applications, TCP/IP connectivityFamiliarity with edge devices, cloud connectivity, and data analyticsExperience with virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V) and virtual infrastructure management.

Preferred  

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fieldWorking knowledge of programming concepts and scripting is required; familiarity with programming Python, PowerShell, API integration, or other automation tools

Estimated total compensation for this position:

120,000.00 – 140,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
