Network Infrastructure Engineer - 5741
The Role:
The Tokyo Infrastructure group is seeking an additional member within the network team to assist with an upcoming DC migration project.Key Responsibilities50% of your time will be based in the office working on planning and logistics, network design, deployment, troubleshooting and support, and 50% spent in the data centres for implementation/migration workYou will perform troubleshooting and diagnosis for network issues involving routers, switches, and firewalls, including taking and analyzing packet capturesWork with Fidessa infrastructure groups in other regions as well as vendors and service providers in both English and Japanese Frequent weekend work due to weekday change freezeRequired Skills, Qualifications and ExperienceTrustworthy and able to abide by strict change controlsCommitted to getting the job done and done wellExpert knowledge of OSI Layers 1-4 and excellent overall internetworking abilityComfortable with configuring, installing, troubleshooting Cisco/Juniper/Arista/Checkpoint routers, switches and firewallsSignificant experience working in data centre environmentsBusiness Level language skills in English & JapaneseFamiliar with Linux (preferably RHEL)History of large-scale DC network support preferredExperience with financial networks preferredFlexibility to work unsociable hours if requiredCisco/Juniper/Checkpoint certification preferredPrior exposure to common programming languages (JavaScript/Python) and network automation preferredAbout us:
