Network Engineer II

Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, maintaining and supporting complex communication networks within the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

Design, architect, and manage network infrastructure that best supports business initiativesMonitor network performance and recommend network changes and upgrades based on utilizationPerform maintenance and upgrades to the networkCollaborate with Technical Architects in network and other systems designAssists administrators in the implementation of networking infrastructureHandle escalated advanced network related troubleshooting issuesProvide support and assistance to OD users for networking needsProvide appropriate user support as assignedMaintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies/products/trends related to architectural solutions

Job Qualifications

Education:

Associates degree in an IT related field or equivalent education and experience

Experience:

5+ years of recent network engineering expertise supporting 100+ site WAN and LAN environment5+ years of experience with core, distribution, and access switching and routing technologies and datacenter technologies (e.g MPLS, vPC, Etherchannel, BGP, OSPF, policy based routing)Strong knowledge of networking technologies and WAN communications including TCP/IP (routing and subnetting), QoS, MPLS, IPSec, etc…Expertise in networking conceptsUnderstanding of cross-functional/cross-domain requirements and impactExperience implementing and supporting SD-WAN environmentsStrong knowledge of Load Balancing and Global Server Load BalancingStrong troubleshooting skillsExperience supporting voice and video across the WANExperience using Visio or other tools for documentationStrong organization and analytical skillsDetail oriented
