We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Hardware Certificate Administrator to join our team in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. As a Hardware Certificate Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring that hardware components and devices meet stringent compliance and security standards. This role requires expertise in certification processes, security protocols, and a thorough understanding of the regulatory landscape in a DoD context.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Certification Management: Oversee and manage the end-to-end certification processes for hardware components in compliance with DoD standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that hardware designs align with certification criteria. Security Integration: Implement and validate security features, encryption protocols, and authentication mechanisms in hardware designs to meet DoD security standards. Conduct thorough security assessments to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities. Compliance Testing: Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans to validate hardware components' compliance with DoD specifications. Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards and certifications applicable to DoD operations. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of certification processes, test results, and compliance reports. Generate and deliver regular reports to stakeholders, including management and regulatory bodies. Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with hardware designers, software engineers, quality assurance teams, and external certification bodies to address compliance and security requirements. Coordinate with external agencies involved in the certification process within the DoD framework. Risk Assessment: Conduct vulnerability assessments to identify potential risks in hardware designs and propose effective mitigation strategies. Analyze and document risks associated with hardware components. Continuous Education: Stay informed about the latest developments in DoD compliance standards, security protocols, and emerging technologies. Pursue ongoing education and training to remain current on relevant certifications and best practices.
