MSA has an opportunity for a Network Engineer at our Milwaukee WI office. This role develops, implements and maintains enterprise class Information Technology networking and digital communications solutions.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Responsible for networking with cloud platforms/SaaS solutionsInvolved in incident response planningPerform advanced level design, configuration, testing and troubleshooting of IP WAN/LAN networksConfigure layer two topologies by means of VLANs, VLAN trunking and spanning tree segmentsConstruct and implements proper firewall ACL and NAT rulesManage enterprise class wireless access point fleetUse network tools to analyze and optimize performance of the networkProvide a robust and secure client VPN solutionHandle advanced unified communications design, configuration, and troubleshootingMaintain various ISP, telecommunications, hardware, and software vendor relationshipsResearch and propose new technologies that improve upon current systems and securityResponsible for proper DHCP and internal/external DNS configurationCreate and maintain infrastructure related documentation Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING

Associate’s degree in computer networking from an accredited college preferred5 years of network, and systems experience2 years advanced troubleshooting experienceExtensive knowledge of Cisco Meraki switches, FortiGate Firewalls, NG firewalls and Forti managerFortiGate SD-WAN experienceVPN setup and troubleshooting experience is required, FortiClient preferredVirtual networking infrastructure experience, Nutanix and Hyper-V preferredProficient with DNS and web filtersProficiency in task automation and basic programmingProficiency with operating systems, Windows Server, Windows 10/11Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Teams administration including direct routing/PSTN configurationsEffectively collaborate, influence, and build relationships at all levels in the organization, as well as across group linesStrong communication and project management skillsAbility to work well under pressureDemonstrate sense of urgency and service orientationComfortable working closely with all levels of the organizationEager to learn, open to feedback, and takes ownership of workDemonstrate exceptional attention to detailAbility to use logic and reasoning to assess solutions and approaches to problemsThe selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
