We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level Network Engineer to join our IT Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Juniper switches, F5 load balancers, Infoblox DNS, SD-WAN, routing, switching, and general network troubleshooting. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Must possess functional knowledge and skills reflective of a competent practitioner with the ability to deliver work of high technical complexity. Supports technical management in the analysis of short- and long-range technical infrastructure requirements and recommends innovations which anticipate the future impact of changing technical requirements. Responsibilities may include systems and performance monitoring, capacity planning, systems software installation and configuration, design, implementation and testing of the technical infrastructure within the disaster recovery environment. Participates in on-call rotation supporting all network infrastructure.

This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office location (Hartford CT, Charlotte NC, Columbus OH, and Chicago IL) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday)

Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and manage Juniper switches and F5 load balancers.Administer and troubleshoot Infoblox DNS systems.Implement and manage SD-WAN solutions.Perform routing and switching tasks to maintain network efficiency.Conduct general network troubleshooting to resolve connectivity issues.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network-related projects.Monitor network performance and implement improvements as needed.Ensure network security and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.3+ years of experience in network engineering.Proficiency with Juniper switches, F5 load balancers, Infoblox DNS, and SD-WAN.Strong understanding of routing and switching protocols.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$90,640 - $135,960
