DGS is in need of a Network Engineer who considers him/herself a jack of all trades, with proven experience in switch/firewall configuration, server support in an AD environment and cable plant management to include oversight of installations.
•             Expertise in Cisco and/or Avaya switches and Wireless LAN technologies – CCNA certification a bonus•         Knowledge of voice, data, and video distribution systems within and between commercial buildings•             Experience designing and installing LANs•         Cabling experience to include Cat 5e and Cat6 installation and termination and SM and MM fiber installation and termination.•          Experienced with fiber patching in a campus environment•          Experience documenting cable plants using Visio•         Advanced knowledge in telecommunications hardware, management and testing •             Experience installing, configuring and supporting Windows 7 and 8, Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012 and associated software in both physical and VM environments•             Previous experiencing supporting Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, group policy and RAS.•             Support of server based antivirus and network monitoring systems •             Ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues from client software/device through to ISP•             Experience with MS Office tools such as MS Word, Excel, Visio and Project.   Must be able to prepare technical documentation using these and other tools.•             Strong presence, professional image, and ability to deal confidently with technical matters.•             Excellent verbal and written communications skills.  •             Ability to work flexible hours, with occasional work outside of regular hours. •             Highly motivated, self-sufficient and able to work well independently.
