Network Engineer
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer in New York. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network systems. This role is in the technology industry and will be based in our office. Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and manage Wireless Networks and LAN/WAN systems, specifically working with Fortinet WAPs. • Install, configure, and maintain Fortinet Firewalls to ensure the security of our systems. • Handle the setup and management of Juniper Switches. • Develop a basic understanding of network security and implement safeguard measures to protect our systems. • Process data using our Datacenter and ensure its accuracy and integrity. • Regularly monitor the performance of the network systems and make necessary adjustments or repairs. • Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve network issues promptly. • Document network configurations and changes to support system maintenance. • Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new network technologies to improve our systems. • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards in all operations. Requirements • Experience in managing Datacenter operations. • Proficiency in handling Fortinet Firewalls. • Demonstrated skills in configuring and maintaining Wireless Access Points. • Strong knowledge of Juniper Switches and related network technologies. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams. • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware. • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices. • Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols. • Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems. • Strong analytical skills. • Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources. • Willingness to participate in continuing education to stay up-to-date with the latest technology.
