As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure, with a specific focus on Fortinet and Palo Alto security solutions. You will ensure the security, reliability, and performance of our network while providing technical expertise and support.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Design and Implementation:

Design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure including routing, switching, and firewall configurations. Implement and manage Fortinet and Palo Alto Networks security solutions to protect against threats and ensure secure connectivity. Configure and optimize network devices (e.g., firewalls, routers, switches) to ensure efficient traffic flow and network performance.

Security Management:

Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures using Fortinet and Palo Alto technologies. Monitor and analyze network traffic and security logs to identify and respond to potential threats. Implement and manage intrusion prevention systems (IPS), virtual private networks (VPNs), and other security measures.

Troubleshooting and Support:

Diagnose and resolve complex network issues related to connectivity, security, and performance. Provide technical support to internal teams and end-users for network-related issues. Conduct root cause analysis for network outages and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Monitoring and Optimization:

Monitor network performance and availability using network management tools and systems. Perform regular network assessments and capacity planning to ensure scalability and efficiency. Optimize network configurations and policies to improve performance and reduce latency.

Documentation and Reporting:

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures. Prepare and present reports on network performance, security incidents, and project status.

Collaboration and Training:

Work closely with other IT teams to integrate network solutions with other systems and applications. Provide training and guidance to junior network engineers and support staff.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Proven experience with Fortinet (e.g., FortiGate) and Palo Alto Networks (e.g., PA-Series) security solutions. Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VPN technologies. Hands-on experience with network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls. Experience with network monitoring and management tools. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex network issues. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Relevant certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto Networks PCNSA/PCNSE, Cisco CCNA/CCNP) are highly desirable.
