This role involves integrating and managing network automation tools, developing code for network devices, and ensuring the stability and security of network configurations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network automation, coding, and infrastructure management. Responsibilities • Build, configure, and support infrastructure automation. • Integrate and maintain Ansible, Ansible Network Automation, AWX, and/or Tower with Cisco infrastructure. • Develop code to manage, configure, update, and modify network routers and switches. • Establish and maintain a build and deployment pipeline (version control, approvals, testing, and deployment). • Automate repetitive maintenance tasks, including system updates. • Automate and standardize core configuration of routers and switches based on security baselines and best practices. • Create reporting on network switch and router discovery and inventory. • Create reporting and monitor for configuration drift. • Strengthen CMDB through data enrichment processes. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience • Proven experience in infrastructure automation and network management. • Proficiency with Ansible, Ansible Network Automation, AWX, and/or Tower. • Strong coding skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or similar. • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). • Familiarity with Cisco network infrastructure and IOS. • Understanding of security best practices and configuration management of network gear.
