Network Architect – Lead

Our Network Architect will work with a team of highly skilled technical professionals and provide direct support in the design, implementation, deployment, management and monitoring of mission networks. We value detail-oriented candidates while also being able to think and react quickly to emerging and unique problem sets. The ideal candidate will be able to rapidly adapt to new and maintenance requirements on the network environment and implement necessary changes.  

Responsibilities\: 

Provide network engineering, deployment, O&M, and procurement support to multiple government customers.  This position entails regular coordination/interaction with telco providers, vendors, and other contractors. It requires working knowledge of various technologies, from data circuit architectures such as SONET/DWDM, TDM, and Ethernet, to networking equipment such as Cisco routers/switches and commercial and government encryption hardware/software. Participate in the helpdesk support for multiple nationwide customer networks with issues related to connectivity, client/server, VoIP, and VTC. Serve as alternate COMSEC custodian for multiple user and organizational accounts. Responsibilities will include providing network architecture specifications as well as evaluating and recommending new technologies. Resolving network-related technical problems while applying technical skillset. Experience building and deploying heterogeneous networks (Windows/Linux), integrating COTS solutions and connecting to networks using current technologies and a minimum of 8 years of experience in the following areas\: Configuring LAN communications (TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLANs) Configuring WAN communications (SONET, BGP, MPLS, etc) Configuration of network security using encryption technology Installation and maintenance of the preceding technologies at multiple distributed locations. Knowledge of system auditing and monitoring with tools such as Solarwinds, Splunk, or equivalent Demonstrated experience with Enterprise-level network devices Demonstrated experience briefing and collaborating with Customers on the results of troubleshooting efforts and standup of operational networks. Demonstrated experience building evolving, and documenting enterprise-like network environment Demonstrated experience procuring and delivering products to Sponsor for a program of similar scope and complexity

Clearance Required\:     

Active TS/SCI with Poly

Minimum Education\:  

Bachelors degree

Minimum Years of Experience\: 

8 years of experience

Preferred\: 

Experienced configuring and operating enterprise storage across networks (SAN) Server visualization - design solutions and configuration (VMWare, VSphere, Hyper-V, etc) VOIP and VTC solution designs Configure and maintain COMSEC
